Is DualShock 3 worth it for gaming?

I can buy the controller for 799 rupees (almsot 12$).

Will it enhance my gaming experience (COmpared to mouse and keyboard)??

I'm asking as many games seemed to be made for controllers (Like AC, Rise of Tomb Raider, GTA V, etc).

Yes, I prefer my DS3 controller while playing AC and Tomb Raider, and even use it for Dirt Rally and Mass Effect trilogy. But most other games I just use mouse and keyboard (Shadows of Mordor, Rainbow Six Siege)

If you do plan on purchasing this, the best tool to allow everything to work on the PC is from ScarlettCrush. This is much better that DS3 Tool or anything else, as some of those come with spyware and other amazing goodies.

DS4 controller has a lot better quality. DS3 controllers tend to break after 6 months of (almost) daily use.

Main gaming pc: Lian-Li Lancool II Mesh Performance - Ryzen 5 5600X - MSI GTX1080Ti Armor - AMD Wraith Spire RGB - ASUS TUF Gaming B550 Plus - Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 2x8GB 3200MHz - 500GB M.2 (and a few other drives)

Gaming laptop: ASUS GL552VW: i7 6700HQ - GTX960M 2GB - 8GB DDR4 2166Mhz RAM - 1TB 7200RPM HDD

Well, they say that I can't use the bluetooth with anything else! Which sucks, because I was planning on using bluetooth headphones with my laptop! Which means, I would have to buy a bluetooth dongle for them to work!

Sheyat. So, less durable? How's the battery life?

I'm using my PS3 controllers. I purchased my PS3 and these controllers in 2008.... They still work perfectly fine. I just wipe them down monthly to keep them clean and looking new. They aren't cheap and garbage as long as you buy legitimate ones, not knockoffs.

I would have to agree. I only use PS3 controllers because well, that's what I have. However, XBox 360 controllers have better support. That means the buttons will always be mapped correctly. Although the DS3 drivers are designed to be emulated through the XBox controller on the PC, there are still some glitches. I have had several games that are damned near impossible to play with PS3/DS3 controllers. Like what? Anything that is a flying game. For some reason, the sticks get mixed up, and you cannot have pitch and roll on the some stick. It's rather annoying. If you don't have controllers, XBox might be the preferred way to go.
