Recently upgraded from an AMD A10-7700k to an Intel i5 6600

What should i expect when upgrading?

Will my windows 7 still work on my HD?

Erm depends, sometimes it will works fine when you change the cpu and sometimes it wont, make sure you have a windows 7 iso ready incase.

It is more then likely it will continue to boot, though drivers and register might give you issues in the long run, you should reinstall windows to prevent any of these potential issues.

Your copy of Windows probably won't be registered anymore so you might need to get a new key, but honestly when changing out hardware it's better to back everything up then just reinstall so everything will be on a clean slate.

You will be using a different motherboard, so yeah you should clean install windows.
