No they don't allow you to run at the higher refresh rate natively unless you have freesync enabled.

Is that so? I wouldn't have suspected. Will it lock itself to 60 then?

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

Yeah it's limited to only 60Hz unless you manually overclock it which it should be stable but don't quote me on that.

I'll keep that in mind. Do you have a source I can link?

I'm surprised they haven't had false advertisement complaints filed against them. It's at the very least misleading.

I would say a tad misleading since it's not directly stated, I believe it is in paperwork or fine print somewhere...

I read it either in a review or on LG's site when I was looking into some of those ultrawide monitors recently.

Not that this is what the OP asked but I wouldn't go for a flat ultrawide, if you can fit it in your budget go with curved.

Thus, from the war of nature, from famine and death, the most exalted object which we are capable of conceiving, namely, the production of the higher animals, directly follows. There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.

I looked through the manual and the only thing it says about refresh rate is that you have to use a DP cable, and it has to be with a PC. The manual also only states 60hz under max resolution. Regardless, that's not something you'd get to look at before purchase (unless you purposely looked it up, but really, who would think that'd be necessary?). It gives the range Freesync works on, but that's it.

Yeah that's pretty vague then, just another thing to keep an eye out theses days.
