Can anyone think of a reason to NOT use chrome?

Seriously. Chrome is great, I can't think of a reason not to love it. Can anyone here point out something they don't like about it?

In all seriousness, they've optimized it so much

only uses about 200mb now apparently, but I swear it's more, otherwise how would 10gb of ram be used at desktop

but I do have a boatload of other programs open...

Yeah, I used that up until recently. But I value my privacy a little bit more than what edge has. Also, I don't like the design.

That's not really the case anymore. I haven't had driver issues on Chrome for a couple of months now on my 1060 or my 1070.

 

My problem with Chrome is the amount of tracking it does, but Windows at the "basic" level is much more intrusive than Chrome's stock settings at this point, so I kind of stopped caring.

The chrome extension doesn't give Microsoft points for using chrome. it just lets you check how many Microsoft points you have.

That is just about it. I don't like edge for security and desing reasons (too simple), or firefox for design (too cluttered)

last i heard adblock plugins and video download plugins are not allowed on chrome. Theres a ton more privacy related features on firefox

Oh do I have news for you. Chrome is just as bad or worse when it comes to privacy.

I've had nothing good to say about Chrome for a few years. No version of Chrome released in recent years run well on any system I've ever used, regardless of OS or background programs running. I see far more throughput on Edge and Waterfox, as well as less drain on system resources, and I've had Chrome consistently throughout my time using it.

 

To me, Chrome is just another product slowly being ruined by Google's new found incompetence.
