Can anyone think of a reason to NOT use chrome?

Chrome also likes to give an illusion to being fast by trying to slow down everything else by hogging CPU and RAM with multiple instances that aren't needed. It's horrible for older systems and tbh I have always found firefox to be faster and more reliable than Chrome and have a lot less issues.

Oh do I have news for you. Chrome is just as bad or worse when it comes to privacy.

Microsoft = Evil Spying Corporation

Google = Okay great!

I don't like how edge integrates with 10, and how my data goes through that way.

I've had nothing good to say about Chrome for a few years. No version of Chrome released in recent years run well on any system I've ever used, regardless of OS or background programs running. I see far more throughput on Edge and Waterfox, as well as less drain on system resources, and I've had Chrome consistently throughout my time using it.

To me, Chrome is just another product slowly being ruined by Google's new found incompetence.

yeah

Yeah, but I just hate microsoft. I really don't have anything on there that I would not be okay with someone else seeing, I just hate microsoft, and yes, Google amazes me with how much data they harvest.

I've used Firefox/Mozilla as my 1st browser for past 12 years. So brand loyalty on that part. As for why I use Opera and not Chrome as my 2nd browser, it doesn't allow you to select install directory. Thats big thing since I want to install all browser and other such software to HDD instead of SSD.

No, it is needed, and Firefox were looking at going the same way. I haven't kept up to date since I ditched it and its poor performance. The problem with Firefox, at least while I was using it, was that it ran as a single process. If you have one slow page, everything in it slowed down. Chrome has more resistance against that.
