Which mode should I use?

eric5143

I bought my new acer monitor and it came with Acer's ecolor manager. There are 5 modes: User, ECO, Standard, Graphics and Movie. The only difference I noticed was the Graphics mode is brighter. Although I found this, I still don't really understand what each mode is used for. If I use the monitor mainly for gaming, which mode should I choose?

Generally when a monitor comes with various modes, it's best to just use user, at most standard.
I would go user and then just tweak the brightness etc if needed.

I would assume that gaming mode is just a slightly more advanced version of Samsung's Game Mode on their TVs, which reduces motion blur or something like that.

I also have similar modes on my monitor and I just go on user and calibrate it manually for best colour accuracy, brightness and contrast levels.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.
