my first build...won't turn on...

....I tryed switching around all the pins on the fpanel and..no success. All my connections are plugged in and all my items are new so I'm not expecting a failure by componets (unless doa)

Any other troubleshooting you could recommend?

(if you want a picture of the internals I can provide as well)

You can try clearing the cmos, you can do this by completing the CMOS circuit simply by touching the CMOS headers with a screwdriver. Just make sure you touch them both at the same time. (I'm not trolling this will not negatively effect your system)

Is that diagram from the internet or from the user manual of your motherboard?

Not all motherboards are equal when it comes down to the power buttons and stuff, it's in the motherboard manual what the lay-out is of your motherboard :P

The mobo had a qr code to see descriptions of each part in the mobo and it wasn't in the Manuel for some reason...

There's a jumper in the mobo you have to use it to short the 2 pins

There should be a set of pins near the fpanel connectors that is labeled cmos. Whats the model of your mobo?

List your parts so we can check the compatibility. Im sorry to say it but thats probably your issue.

If not then try taking a screw driver and touch both the power pins on your motherboard with it. That is how you manually turn on your system. I build a computer once and it didnt turn on, the problem was that the power button wasn't soderd on right. Do that to see if its the cases fault.

Another build I had was a graphics card issue and i found this out by taking apart an old computer and swapped in the old graphics card. I mean you wont get 60fps but youll see if its your graphics cards fault.

If that doest work try taking it all apart and putting it back together again. It wont be as fun the second time but ive had issues where a part just wasn't seated properly.

Lastly something always goes wrong when building a PC and you're honestly lucky if it works first try. So keep your head up and be prepared to put in some extra effort to get it running. You'll learn more and grow closer to your rig in the process <3

Wait so do you just have everything turned on and tap the pin with a screwdriver?

Try shorting the power sw pin on the board with a screw driver to see if it turns on. if it does you dont have the connectors on the right pins.

watch the video at 11:39 to see what i mean
