1080ti Vs. Titan XP

I'am currently waiting on the release to the 1080ti, Which sadly wasn't announced at CES a few hours ago :( But I was thinking about the titan XP. Is it worth the several hundred more? Assuming the 1080ti will be $800-950. It will probably take me a few months to get the amount i need for the XP and by that time the 1080ti will be coming out soon or at least announced so either way its a bit down the road. So it comes down to is the XP worth the extra money?

As Linus discussed before. A Titan X Maxwell from prev gen was more expensive than a 980 Ti with gaming performance almost the same. If that's true for Pascal then I would wait for 1080 Ti

We don't know if the GTX 1080Ti even exists, let alone how well it performs. Wait for benchmarks and you'll have your answer then.

the Titan XP is still overpriced IMO

 

companies like Zotac and Asus will released 1080Ti with over engineered specs for power delivery and VRAM used

 

just like the 980Ti which beats the crap out of the Titan X Maxwell card in all games at a cheaper price

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

If it's going to take you months to save for a Titan XP then a 1080 Ti isn't really in your price range either. Just get a $230 RX 480 8GB and call it a day. PC games still look amazing at 1080p on a powerful gpu like the 480. This is the generation to buy midrange. The midrange cards are better values than they have been in many years.

What? I'm saying i have enough for a 1080ti assuming its $900 by the time it comes out i will have enough to buy the XP where talking several months from now the 1080ti will be released. So now i have $900. by the time the TI comes out i will have enough for the XP Just to clarify.
