Posted January 4, 2017 I have an A4 7300, but I plan to upgrade soon as these new generation of processors come out. (Even though there is not much change) All the computers and laptops I have had over the past 8 years of computer ownership had AMD CPUs in them, so AMD kind of has a place in my heart. Every other computer, to my knowledge, has used an Intel CPU. I have only built one computer with an Intel chip out of two systems I have built. (3 builds if you count rebuilding/transplanting into another case)

Posted January 4, 2017 I had AMD for the first 12 years. Currently on my second Intel platform. AMD is just years behind the curve currently, however they are still the budget answer for folks who don't need the highest performance. Posted January 4, 2017 Was using a 2500K second hand, just upgraded to a Xeon 1650 second hand. Waiting for the second hand PSU so that I can overclock. Hoping to grab another second hand GPU further down the line for crossfire (see the trend here, I have no money so I need to cheap out everywhere I can). I have a Phenom 9100e in the HTPC. It is weak as hell, can't even manage youtube 1080p60. I think that a Phenom II x4 845 should work with that boards BIOS which I'm hoping to get once I'm not in such a money crisis. Maybe you need a second hand second hand Intel i3 6100 The i3 beat the FX processors in price:performance for all my uses and matched an i5 I had been considering a year earlier.
