USED i5-6600K vs NEW i5-6500

I am now building my 2nd rig after I sold off my LGA1150 components yesterday. 

 

Soo looks like the ever-increasing PhP to Dollar rates are affecting component pricing here in our country. Uugh.

I found out that a brand new i5-6500 costs as much as a used i5-6600K. I think I can even haggle the 6600K ads to 5-10$ lower than the new i5-6500.

 

Should I go for the 6600K? AFAIK Intel CPUs have 3-years standard warranty so I'm kinda "safe".

 

(Sort of) Issues:

1.) I'm building on an H-board, I am not willing to go for a Z-board as the price difference is insane.

2.) If I do get funds to get a Z-board, I will be building on an teeny weeny SG13. Sooo unless I AIO, I won't be getting decent clocks without the whole system burning.

 

The TL;DR is, is it okay to get a used 6600k over a new 6500 even if I am 100% certain I will not be overclocking the 6600K?

6500,

6600k is better by a bit tho, but i would prefer take no risk and take the new stuff with warranty etc..

If you sure the cpu is good, then get the 6600k anyway as it has slightly higher performance  

And a cpu is made to last 20+ years

how about this, I'll take the 6600K if I can haggle it for cheaper than a new 6500.

 

and if I do intend to sell (in the future when I'm done with gaming and I'm too old for shit) the 6600K should have a higher resale value than a 6500 since it's unlocked.

but built on a non-oc motherboard, will make it, not overclockable.. so... idk.. about this argument, not everyone will buy this pc to swap the board with a z170 chipset to OC..... but still, 6600k is better stock vs 6500 ...

oh yeah shit. I will have to sell it piece-by-piece to take advantage of the resale value.. hmm

 

yea my argument is invalid hahahaha

 

welp that's it, I'll go with whatever is cheaper. but Ill lean on the 6500 if the price difference is minimal (<5$)
