GTX 1050ti or RX460

Go to solution Solved by Matias_Chambers,

1050 Ti will perform better, but your CPU may hold it back.

Greetings people on the internet! I hope you guys can help me.

So I recently built a pc, here's the spec:

Processor: AMD A8-7600

HSF: DeepCool Gammaxx 400

Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 V2

Powersupply: Corsair VS450

RAM: 8GB 1600MHz.

(and the rest, I suppose isnt relevant to the topic)

And I was wondering, which graphics card that suit my pc. I'm planning to go with GTX1050ti from Zotac or RX460 from Sapphire.

Note that I'm not always use the GPU for gaming, but sometimes content creating as well. And for gaming, I'm fancy just 1080p. Also, I'm not planning to sell/change my rig at the moment.

So if any of you would kindly help me choosing a GPU, that would be much appreciated. Thank you! :-)

1050 Ti is better, should cost more too. If same price, 1050 Ti all the way

Maybe you could save up for a better card? You can get much better for $170 in the form of RX 470

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

If you're looking forward to overclocking your CPU I wouldn't with that power supply, its not the greatest.

Also 1050 TI is great,  but the RX470 is the best price/performer after the price drop right now.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

Thankyou for your advice. Another question, will the bottlenecking noticable in most games? Or will it only noticable in a game that cpu demanding?

In CPU intensive games it will be noticeable.

Thank you for your advice. No, I don't have any plan to overclock my CPU. Overclocking the GPU, maybe. But definitely not for the CPU.

Not worth it for the price over the 470.
