Wax on laptop

Go to solution Solved by iostermann,

I would try scraping as much off as you can and then using vegetable oil to soak in and dissolve the remaining wax. Then you can clean up the vegetable oil with soap and water. Failing that, and depending on the finish of the laptop, you could try using methylated spirits or gasoline to dissolve it but they might harm the finish on the laptop.

here's what I use to remove candle wax from whatever I spill it on.

#1. boil a pot of water for about 1-3 minutes (depends how hot you want it)

#2. then dip a rag of some sort in to the water.

#3. squeeze the water out of the rag and rub the wax up and down.

#4. repeat.

(is it candle wax) xD
