Fastest air 6700k in USA!! :)

My latest PC build now holds the record for fastest 6700k (on air) in the US!

Please don't take this post too seriously, didn't build the system for competitive overclocking, but I had to post my results...

Also, guy in first is .06v higher than me, I didn't want to go higher than 1.5v.

LOL, Isn't there a 5ghz stock AMD chip? I'm pretty sure there is one, I'd search it up.

Yeah the fx9590, but that's quite irrelevant lol.  I have a build with 8320 as living room pc with a $30 air cooler (hyper 212 evo) clocked just over 5ghz not breaking 53c.

Interesting. As well, good on you for getting the hyper 212 evo, the most iconic CPU cooler out there

Agreed, and why the heck would one need a 1thz cpu. Many, many slower CPUs could match one of those, AKA a supercomputer.

Meh, I haven't broken any hardware yet and I've been building and ocing systems for about 12 years now (not competitively once again, for those hardcore guys out there), temps were still fine.  Cooler than most at stock speeds with same air cooler lol.

But I can definitely understand why you'd say that.

1.5V is acceptable for Skylake, but I wouldn't call it a 24/7 voltage xD

the i7 5ghz was noctua nh-d15

but the 5030.2mhz was/is an fx 8320 with a hyper 212 evo cooler, core temps don't rise above 53c in occt test., and that's 19-20c ambient.

I guess the real question is, what can it actually do at 5 GHz?  A Cinebench R15 run would be nice to see.  That would be impressive if it could complete the test on air.
