which adapter to use with my old modem

stuck stock heatsink

i have a really old modem... it's adapter was 15v-700ma but adapter is not working.

i have an old adapters which fits to the connector of that modem.

one rated 7.5v-2a and the other one is 18v-1a

 

modem's power led lit with both adapters, i didnt actually tried to connect to the internet yet since i dont have an adsl connection yet.

which one is more stable/safe to use with that modem?

So you're talking about a DSL or Cable modem?  Don't use anything that isn't EXACTLY what it calls for or you'll fry it eventually.

adsl modem. its asus aam6010ev-m really old one.

would lower voltage adapter still fry it? modem rated 15 yet it works with 7.5 adapter somehow...

I'd be careful doing that. It may seem safe, but as soon as the modem tries to draw too much power, you're done. Just be safe and get a new adapter. They should be cheap.
