how do i wipe a connected hard drive from my computer running windows???????????????

i hooked up a hard drive to my computer with 1 partition. a linux partition. is there any way i can wipe that partition and use it with my windows pc? when i connected it to my computer it showed up under devices but nowhere else. How do i wipe it and use it!?

mount it to a usb, cd or dvd

that is only to remove everything. boot up linux and you should be able to move it from there to an external storage device
