Sony drops MP3, CD, DLNA, External Hard Drive support from PS4

Sony is looking to maximise profits by dropping support for lots of features so that you have to use subscription services from Sony. 

 

If you want to listen to music or watch films, it looks like you have to do it through their Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited services.

 

These decisions are even more surprising when you find out that Sony was the founding member of DNLA.

 

If I had pre-ordered I'd be really pissed right now as the near decade old PS3 is more relevant as an entertainment system in the living room than the PS4.
