Combine 2 seperate ssd's into 1. One has OS on it

Equlizer

I have 2x 250gig ssd's that i would like to combine to a new m.2 drive. one of the 250gig drives contains my OS and the other one just games. I want to merge both 250gig drives into the new m.2 512gb drive and keep everything else the same. Is this possible? Thx

Clone the one with the os using something like dd or macrum relfect.

Then boot from the m.2 and copy the games over with window sexplorer.

You can do it. Make two separate 250GB partitions of the new M.2 SSD, then clone one SSD to one of the partitions, and the other SSD to the other partition.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

It should copy the EFI partition as well, which is the info it needs in order to boot. No reason not to try :)

I also forgot to say i have 2x 980 ti's in sli.  Will that affect the speed of the m2?

EDIT: Can the reverse be done as well?  split a 512 into 2x 250gig?

Well it took a while but i got everything figured out.  My write speeds on the M.2 Intel 600p 512gb read speeds are less than half of what is advertised :(

Gigabyte Z97x-ud5h F10 bios.  Is there a specific setting in the bios i should set?

took back the intel 600p and got the samsung evo 850 m.2 1tb instead.  It "is" seen in the bios and is much faster.
