Would you buy a facebook phone?

nicehat

I think it's already been proven that not many people want it. I mean the bisggest selling point of the htc first was that it ran stock android once you get rid of fb home, and since not many people knew or cared about this it was a complete disaster. Also how many people do you know who use facebook home on their phones? because that's pretty much how a fb phone would work.

My only conditions for buying one is:

  • it doesn't look as hideous as that
  • it can be ROM'd and rooted

If the above conditions were met then I'd buy one. I deleted my Facebook ages ago so using it for Facebook makes no sense.

Facebook is filled with idiots, why would I want a phone flaunting that? Getting pretty desperate there, Blackberry.

No, there is no need for a Facebook phone. It most likely will look horrible and will be basically useless..

iirc HTC made a facebook like phone with a dedicated Facebook button, don't think it went that well.

I don't remember the HTC Facebook phone and the Facebook home or whatever being a huge success. Facebook having just an app is perfect enough.
