Way to turn PC into Chromecast receiver?

I changed my room around and decided to just use my computer monitor as a TV rather than have another big item in my room taking up space. The problem is watching netflix/youtube in bed. I have no control and no volume control. I REALLY miss using my chromecast. Though I would actually plug my chromecast in to my monitor, the audio situation would be a little more complex than I want.

 

I'm finding it shocking I can't find much of a solution online for using anything on Windows/Chrome to receive Chromecast.

You really can't unless you want to spend lots of money. All of the HDMI ports on computers are HDMI outputs. They won't receive an input at all. You would need a card that supports HDMI in, and those are mostly found on professional level cards which are expensive.

for youtube you can try www.youtube.com/tv

for audio control you could try using kodi, it has an android remote.
