Why no more community call ins on the Wan Show

hey everyone i know this stopped a while ago, but they just never came back like it was implied and i know the comms thing was over but what about teamspeak. i understand that this was also a lot of work and the show is much easier without it any ideas. all the callers seemed respectful enough although some did have problems with playback but it would have gotten better because that was back when comms was so new to everyone

I think there was a lot of technical problems as well as CERTAIN people having a slightly inappropriate ringtone

i forgot about that i thought it was more do to the people on the last one they did when everyone pretty much was 7 seconds behind the stream. o well maybe they will start again i really enjoyed them even with all the problems

The problem is that they need a filter system, like what you have on TV shows or radio shows that takes calls in.

And even then, Anyone can call in, and then pass the filter, and then just say something completly innapropriate.

 

Beside all this, you need an intelligent person talking asking a good question, show worthy.

 

Twitter is the best method as he can skip innapropriate content. Or user mail... but might as well be twitter.

Seems like extra work for them when Twitter-Blitzs are way quicker and ten times more productive.

Basicly user calls could come back by @Slick afterparty. But since there isn't really afterparty anymore I don't see it happening anytime soon.

as said above, moderation is a big issue, when slick joined ts a couple of times all hell broke loose...

sure they would be in a separate channel and the callers would be screened and then dragged into the stream channel but as also mentioned before, who says they don't have a inappropriate ringtone...

the biggest problem is so many people just don't have anything interesting to say or bring to the discussion. and most of them are just....I won't call them stupid people, but they're asking stupid questions.

why have people call in when they could ask the same questions in twitter? And if people want a format to ask more in depth questions we should make a questions thread similar to teksyndicates for their inbox.exe sub forum.
