Anti-virus/malware protection.

Go to solution Solved by Sack,

My recomendation is always

- Windows Defender

- SuperAntiSpyware

- Malwarebytes

- Common sense

This works.

Norton is THE most horrible thing in the world, I don't know anyone who recommends it, literally no one and I know people that work as information security specialists. I do not recommend buying any of the paid AV solutions, but if I did it would probably be Kaspersky.

Hey guys :)

So I am getting a new PC, but I would like to know what anti-virus or anti-malware would I use to protect my computer please?

For example, would it be worth buying McAfee protection or Norton Internet Security?

Thank you :D

if you want anti-virus get something like kaspersky. and malwarebytes which is free. anti virus is quite redundant according to a lot of peopl (not me though).

I don't like either of those especially McAfee.  I have been using this https://www.eset.com/int/home/antivirus/ and it's not that expensive for a year.  Also a 30 day free trial so why not?

just use malwarebytes and don't have it launch on start up and just run a scan every so often and just don't go to sketchy websites
