Manufacturer noise ratings are completely useless anyway. There are no standards for how to measure noise levels.

Still gives a pretty good idea of how loud they are.

I have FN V2s from NZXT and they definitely sound like th 21db they are rated at.

Louder than my 18db fans but quieter than some 25db fans.

Actually they were announced last month along with the new Kraken line (they are the included fans in the new Kraken line). Also I enquired with NZXT and the fans will not be at resellers till March (at least in Australia).:(

Am I the only one just waiting for an mATX or full ATX version of their Manta case? That thing is sexy af but ITX is such a limited form factor when it comes to performance.

Performance in what regard? As far as raw CPU/GPU performance goes, you can match most standard ATX machines in an ITX box. The biggest issue is lack of additional features (raid card, sound card, additional drives/hotswap drives, etc). My 6700k runs on a 45mm vapor chamber and can easily be clocked at 4.5ghz like most other 6700k's and run well within reasonable temps (gaming, not AVX2 load). Skylake supports up to 32gb of ram on ITX boards, and I have my 32gb kit clocked at 3600 C14-14-14-28-2, which is just as good as you see on some of the higher end full size boards. GPU selection is where it becomes tricky, as you will most likely want a blower depending on how the case itself is designed (The Manta is fairly large, supporting a 14 inch card, not exactly what I would consider ITX as far as cubic inches go, but you get my point). Pascal doesn't scale well with voltage or cooling it seems (at least as far as air vs water goes) so clock speeds will be relatively similar regardless of case size (assuming it fits). My 1070 in my 10.2L case runs at 2150mhz, the same as it runs in my spare Spec 02 case. At worst, it boost throttles down to 2088 once it hits 70C, but that is still well within average speeds.

EDIT: This is just taking consumer platforms into consideration. If you are looking for X99, then I agree, ITX will not appease your performance needs, nor can it match the bigger cases in that regard. The ASrock X99 board just doesn't cut it.

Haha I've never in my life heard a fan (non-server) louder than the stock fans on the X61 (FX140 V2). Even at their minimum turnover speed, they were louder than the rest of the fans I had at full blast.

But that is a slightly different thing I guess.

Well I mean they are free... so for free fans pretty good.

I prefer my $35 noctuas and noiseblockers though.

I've had my H440 for a week. It has 3 of their old 120mm fans and one of their old 140mm fans. The case fans are not inaudible, but they are the quietest noise in my house. If you want to get an idea of how loud the Aer P fans are take a look at some Kraken X62 reviews as they use two 140mm Aer P fans in the new Kraken X62. There's also reviews of the smaller Kraken X_2's online.
