Secondary HDD is read only/can't torrent.

So, after I reinstalled windows I reformatted my western digital 1tb blue drive clean in a ntfs file system. It was working fine until I attempted to torrent something. Then the drive became read only. I tried to reformat into different formats, and nothing has been working. Any recommendations? Thank you!

Not at home at the moment to get the smart info the it's approximately 6 months old. WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD10EZEX

Please post back when you can. Since it's a WD drive I would also suggest getting their diagnostic tool.

So, downloaded the Western Digital software you mentioned and it passed.

Also, the smart info.

The model is  WD1003FZEX

Change the format to NTFS first by using Disk Management.

Open Notepad and type something and then save it to the drive.

It saved fine. 
Maybe my issue was fixed in reformatting, or possibly it's qtbittorrent?

I wouldn't torrent anything.

No problem. I would stay away from torrenting since it places an abnormal load on the drives.

Make sure to move your user folders to the 2nd drive. And make backups in case.
