Improve DNS Resolution on Windows Server with IPv6 enabled

So I've noticed that when using Windows Server as a DNS server intermediary and I have IPv6 enabled on my network, I get really long DNS resolution times. When I switch my local computer over to OpenDNS or others then the resolution time is nearly half or better. Normally when I use my server as the DNS server I will see resolution times upwards of 5 to 10 seconds after enabling IPv6 across my network. I know that IPv6 is supposed to have slighly longer resolution times but when it's near instant for IPv4 and 5 to 10+ seconds with IPv6 enabled I feel like I missed something to enable faster failover to IPv4 and resolve IPv6 domains faster.

Server is Windows 2008 R2 running DHCP, DNS, and a couple other tasks. I have it patched up and on the latest updates.
