I want a gpu that can do 1440p @144hz. I was looking at the 1070 mini cuz I'm doing a mini itx build

depends on the game you want to play

Depends on the game and what settings. For most AAA titles, a 1070 or 1080 would be ideal for this (Less for Esport games like LoL or CS:GO). 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

If you want maxed settings the answer is none in all games.

 

If you want to lower some of the settings a 1080

 

If you don't mind running at a much lower fps then a 1070

Yeah GTA 5 will probably take a 1080. But Forza Horizon 3 is impossible the game can't even run on a Titan X 60FPS 1440p Ultra.

not with a mini. Mini cards are prone to thermal throttling.

most mini cards are ok as long as you don't oc to much

Ran at 60fps 4k on my 1080 when maxed out so....
