Shit. bent a CPU Pin

Bent a Pin on my FX-8320. Got it mostly straightened out. Anyone know if the pin needs to go out all the way for it to work? (I have no clue when it was bent, but it was whenever i last pulled my CPU out

it it fits it sits , just put it in the soket and it it goes in w/ not much problems it will be fine

Just try to get it as straight as possible, its not like your can break it more.

It's not a good idea to remove the CPU after installation unless you're upgrading. As long as the pins are straight enough, it should be okay as some are ground or unused pins.

If the pin was for power, you're f#cked! /s

Last time I had to remove it was when I RMA's a motherboard

That would explain it. You should be fine. Just be conservative if it's a K-series or AMD CPU.

you can use something like a wooden ruler (i say wooden because those bend the least, compared to plastic ones that are kinda flexy) if you have one that's thin enough to gently bend it back in "line" with all the other pins, but as long as it goes into the socket it's fine.
