Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

i have got a question! does anyone here owns the ASUS Direct CU II GTX 780 model and has run the heaven benchmark too? I just wanted to ask them whethere any of them has ever seen weird artifact during the benchmark! I personally own 2 of these cards, and already have RMAed one for that reason. The weird thing is I saw these artifacts in all these 3 cards! But interestingly they are perfectly fine in every other benchmark and games (like 3dMark,WatchDogs and so on). All these cards have no othere issues whatsoever, runs cool(reaching only 61C in single mode and 71C in SLI), gpu boost pushes them till 1228MHz core and I ran quite a lot stress testing and I found 0 anomaly or other artifacts! Now, I though there might be something wrong with my system then and I used my old gtx580s in SLI(and also in single mode) to verify and found that there is no such artifact when I use these old cards, and thats the same with 750ti, gtx 280 & gtx285 !!! What am I missing here? I would be glad if people here with the same card would reply and clarify if they see the same anomaly too! Thanks.

My setup (if that halps to diagnose the issue)

i7 47770k, gigabyte ga-z97x-gaming gt,8gb ddr3 g-skill ripjaws, 850w psu, and all the cards i have mentioned, and i run only single 1080p monitor. no overclocking in anywhere whatsoever.

i7-4770k | 8gb Gskill Ripjaws @1600 | 2x GTX 780(Asus Direct CU II) in SLI & GTX750Ti for PPU | Gigabyte Z97x Gaming GT | 850W XFX

Apparantly the Unigine benchmarks sometimes have issues, I get tons of weird white artifacting in Valley on my Asus DCUII 780. It is the only place I get artifacts and I get them even without overclocking.

It's not the cards, you shouldn't worry about it.

welcome to the forum. good score, that is the 6th fastest 770 we've had, but they do tend to clock very high..  :)

There aren't many Pitcairn GPUs to compare with, but hey why not.

i know, there are only about 5 or so. it was because this thread used to be the top 30 only so there wasn't much point when all the 780's and 290's and titans were at the top.

speaking of which........ i actually borrowed one at some point, ill see if i can find the screenshot.

here we go

i've already put it on. i was looking at the wrong sheet

Oh that makes sense why there aren't many!

Holy smokes what voltage is your 7870 running? I'd like to run this core up, but anything above 1110mhz is unstable at stock 1.2v on this card. Maybe I'll try lowering mem frequency from the stock 1400mhz to get the core higher...obviously it has the bandwidth already judging by your numbers! You get like perfect scaling from my results with a lower mem clock so there does not seem to be any bandwidth issue there!

CCC and MSI AB (even with all the voltage boxes checked/unchecked) does not have voltage adjustment for this 270, do you know any programs that do? Maybe Sapphire's software, what's that called, Trix or something right? This thing is only hitting like 60C at 1110/1400, so I'd like to get some more voltage to that gpu to see what it can do!

270 have locked voltage, you would need a 7870 or 270X bios to overvolt. i think it was a sapphire dual X 7870 GHz edition that was running at 1.3v. it was just the to the end of the slider on afterburner. the memory clock doesn't really effect the 7800 series card. it actually brings your score down.sometimes.

Ah, what a shame the voltage is locked in the bios. This 2nd 6 pin pcie power is just there for looks or something lol. I guess they needed something to differentiate it from the 270x, because specs wise I thought they were identical except for clock speeds. Locking voltage in the bios makes a lot of sense, because otherwise why would anyone buy a 270x when they could grab a 270 and move two sliders to save $20! Thanks for the info.

You can't but it's odd that my system manages to stay at/above 30 during the transition and yours doesn't, on a side note you need to list your system specs and running clocks of your cpu/gpu

Updated my post :)

I've been thinking on it and the Tri-Fire would explain the low minimum, during the transitions I've noticed the load on my GPU's dropping quite a bit and the lower FPS is caused by them suddenly becoming loaded very quickly. The increased latency between three GPU's would explain the lower minimum. Still you did just barely edge out the top slot which is SLI Titans, though the fact that it took a 3rd GPU to do it shows how much Valley favors Nvida GPU's.

Yep, there are a few benches that favor nvidia gpus. AMD gpus seem to be favoured by pure synthetic benches.
