I am so sick of zen news. It has been rumored for centuries I start to doubt it's existence.

I just hope the sr3/sr5 will perform on par with recent or even slightly older i7, with those price tags it will hit intel hard

The situation would be like having a choice between a Titan XP and a 1080 Ti, if you're money conscious, then it's a no brainer.

Another issue with Bulldozer was that not enough people were buying it, thus Global Foundries fined AMD for not ordering enough silicone from them. AMD spends around $150 million a quarter on R&D, which is barely anything, on top of that, that money is spread among CPUs, APUs, GPUs, Software and Embedded hardware, I imagine AMD spent near half that on Zen, still not that much money all things considered. The majority of the money made back from that would be in the data centre and servers. If AMD manages to take only 10% of server shipments, they'd add several billion to their revenue, thus making their Graphics and Computing segment profitable for the first time in years.

That Special Zen SR7 makes me curious to why it is "Special".

I'm pretty sure It's a higher binned chip. From what we know all Zen chips are overclockable but this one will be far better.

I mean seriously for such a low price for 8core chip that is supposed to be amazing do people really expect it to cost like a lollipop?

Makes no sense, they won't undercut it like such at all, performance will speak for that.

I just hope that It would be good enough for gaming.

I'd find it hard to imagine that any of them wouldn't be good for gaming. AMD is pretty heavily invested in gaming a the moment and performance is supposed to at least be similar to Intels 4000 series which is basically the same as Skylake.

I'm so excited to get my hands on one of these chips and overclock the hell outta it. I'm a huge AMD fanboy. Had me a Phenom II. Best processor I've ever had. Beat the hell outta it and it kept beating. Just wonder what availability is gonna be like over here in Southeast Asia on release.
