Even the 200 series cards have gone WAY down in price . I got my second 290 ( a tri x model ) for 160$

390X's are pretty damn cheap right now as well, and I'd still pick a 390X over an RX 480 tbh as power consumption doesn't matter to me if it's just a single card anyway...

 

In Poland you can get a used 390X for around 240$, an R9 290 for around 165-170$ and an aftermarket R9 290X for around 210$ (when exchanged from Polish złoty to US dollars with current exchange ratio) while a used GTX 970 costs 205$ (cheapest reference versions), Nvidia seems to be simply more expensive here :o for the same tiered cards.

 

EDIT: What are your Crossfire experiences? I might just get another Fury sometime later on instead of upgrading to a faster single card.
