I always get a little bit disheartened when I stumble across a 3 year old post and see a submitter not coming back here for 3 years... it's really sad DAE feel like this sometimes?

yeah, if one of them stumbles upon the thread, or you flag the thread (so they read the flag) they can move it

There are a lot of people who just vist the forums to ask for help and when it is solved they leave, or just vist for the giveaways, as for users with higher post counts they just do something else.

There have been a number of popular members who've left the forums for some reason or another.

A few come to mind, but only because they and I joined at around the same time. As with any forum though people will leave or get banned due to the environment. 

 

The last time we lost a significant amount of vet members was about a year and a half ago when the forums reached a peak of toxicity and we lost a couple dozen noteworthy members because of it. Lately though the core members of the forum are still here, and don't appear to be going anywhere quite yet though :3
