I live in to different places and im going to get a gaming pc. But the problem is that i cant carry it back and forth every week, so i thought i could connect my stationary pc to the internet via ethernet and use my old HP pavilion 17 to play games via remote desktop. Would this work and would it cost alot of preformance? Thanks! (Sorry for bad english)

Would it work? In theory.

How would it impact your performance? A lot. Aside from potentially bad input lag, the remote desktop tool may compress the video feed such that makes YouTube look amazing.

You can't play games over remote desktop in windows.

If your playing over wan, latencys will be bad.

Performance would be through the floor, but it's possible to game passive games like Cities:Skylines.

Patience is a must tho, and it mostly depends what upload speed you have on the gaming pc side.

Yes you can do that and yes you will get good performance.

The problem is that everything you do will be delayed by like half a second and it will be extremely painful to do anything.

Also if your internet connection is slow then it will be even slower, like a slideshow.
