"gaming" motherboards / whatever - what the fuck are those?!

WS motherboards with Christmas lights, twice the price, and half the warranty.

Wait so now we will have

Gigabyte Aorus GA Z170 UD3 Ultra and Gigabyte Aorus GA Z170X Designaire? Blue doesn't go well with aorus imo

Probably only the gaming line.

UD3 and such motherboards aren't really targetted at gamers.

i5 2400 | ASUS RTX 4090 TUF OC | Seasonic 1200W Prime Gold | WD Green 120gb | WD Blue 1tb | some ram | a random case

This has everything to do with filling the targeted markets.

This is allready going on for years.

I think that Msi is the most terrible in this race.

They have putted out soo manny pointless crap boards that its beyond stupidity.

But nobody seems to complain about that.

I personaly dont see anything wrong with the way Gigabyte is heading with their products line.

As long as they keep it over viewable.

Gigabyte till now mainly had 3 lines of boards,

mainstream series, gaming series and overclock enthusiast series.

So i think they atleast got that right.

ROG and Strix is still under Asus. Gigabyte is deciding to make Aorus as its own name. IMO that's a dumb move.

They're probably going to build it up and sell it. They must want to get out of the gaming market, focus on something more profitable or something.

Aorus laptops are already super shit, so are these motherboards and GPUs going to be super shit?

IDK m80, they're pretty good.

Well tbf gigabytes brand name doesn't scream gaming. And with all the people in pc building these days a lot of an look at "gaming series" items.

They are playing to the market. Our fault not theirs.

And if they make products that are colors other red, black, and white then I'm all for it.

Gaming mouse, gaming keyboard, gaming monitor, gaming cases, gaming ram, gaming chair, gaming desk ;o I NEED ALL THE G@M3R 1T3M$

Wait a minute How many Mobo lines would Gigabyte have then

1)Gaming

2)UD

3)SOC

4)signature(i.e the cheap ones or the ones like Designaire )

5)Sniper

6)Aorus

and lets guess their are 4 boards in each one (on an avg i know there are only 1 or 2 SOCs on a chipset)on each chipset that is 24 boards on a single chipset(lets say Z170) from a single company

isnt this over saturation?

you got it wrong

GigaByte has many mobo lineups while Aorus will be a different brand altogether; Aorus may have it's own lineups

it's like AsRock and ASUS
