My I7 4790k. Slow ? Or cant do multi tasking ?

Hey guys. It is all small questions, and maybe stupid, but i don't have any one to ask. So please, be kind , not to respond negativly , 

I am trying to learn as much as i can about pc / performance and so . 

 

I was trying to move 5 mb pictures from one folder to another, and at the same time, i was moving 12 GB files to USB device, and for some reason,

the pictures, which are suppose to move faster, they ... i would say , stuck,. 

I mean, they were at start folder, where i was moving them from , and the bar or progress show me that they are 100 moved, but the bar was there, for another  minute . 

Why is that?

Pretty sure the bottleneck was your disk. Correct me if I'm wrong, but CPU is not doing any hard work while copying.

There are some priorities in which order the files are copied. Pictures copying process might have been slowed down for the other one.

Yeah , it is a possibility , i use win 7 , and not updating it. Cause win 10 suck

How about your HDD?
How long do you have it for, did you check how much life is left in it? If you didn't, go check it, because before your HDD dies file transfer speeds take a drastic hit.

SSD hald year. to USB 3.0 32 GB . via usb. 3.0 hhub, and again, the issue for me, the bar of progress that was there for a minute, after he already moved the pictures..

Downloading more ram may help, then convert the downloaded ram into ram disk.
