2560 x 1080 vs 2560x1440

GertS

Are they both considered 2k?

What is 2560x1080?

It looks like something between 1920x 1080 and 2560x1440, Which side does it belong to?

It sounds like an ultra-wide version of 1080p. It has less pixels than 2k (2560x1440), but it's wider.

Thy hath sinneth, and in thy life thou hast fallen to an unholy, unspeakable level of humanity. Thou hast given into your basest needs. And suffered many years under thine Satan-box. However, if thine be willing, as thy hast show yourself to be, thy can ascendeth into thy glorious fold of the glorious church. Go well, my brother, may your temps be low and your frames high. ~ MrDynamicMan

Should just basically be an Ultra-Wide 1080p monitor. Like what @UL_42L Said.

2560x1080 is the the Full HD Ultrawide, the wider brother of 1920x1080.

Compared to:

3440x1440 is Ultrawide and the wider brother compared to 2560x1440.

You can usually find some 2560x1080 gaming monitors with high refresh rates, looks pretty beast.

It's a cheaper and better option if you really dont have the hardware or cash to push a 3440x1440 UW display but still REALLY want it imo.

2k is nethier of those. Real 2K is 2048x1080, or about 17:9. same with real 4K, its 4096x2160, not 3840x2160. This picture is a great example of resolutions.

2560x1080 is a 21:9 aspect ratio, meaning for every 21 horizontal pixels, there are 9 vertical pixels. Also called 1080 ultrawide, 21:9 is considered ultrawide.

2560x1440 is 1440p its 16:9 aspect ratio (standard wide screen) and called QHD or quad high definition because it is 4 times the size or 720p (1280x720) which is "HD"
