I didn't say it was only the work of the integrated graphics :P I meant that sometimes it tries to work with the dedicated graphics, thus slowing it down more than actually helping.

This kind of configuration is mostly only seen on mobile platforms (Nvidia Optimus). When you install a dGPU on a desktop system, the BIOS turns the iGPU off by default. You have to manually enable it in order to use it for multi-monitor support or Quicksync, and even then, you won't be rendering a game at the same time with both in DX11.

I was having the same issue. I tried all my usual stuff and it didn't really change. I switched to the latest NVidia drive instead of the previous one that was released for bf1. Dropped my cpu usage and gave me lower frame times and higher fps. Never had a driver work so well before.

I also always use virtualization in the bios.

Main RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

So let me get this right; you switched back to the last driver. And what is virtualization in bios?

No I was on the previous driver 375.63 which got my sli working. Decided to try 365.70 and it smoothed everything out. Frame times would sit around 7-10 which was way better then the 13-15's I was getting.

Virtualization basically helps the system run better if the resources are available to do so. Helps my sli rig more then it does my single card rig. Its under advanced cpu settings if your setup supports it.

Specs in the signature down below

in bf1 I get fps drops from 100+ fps to 50. My gpu is at stock and never goes above 72c and my CPU is oced to 4.6ghz at 1.345v and it never goes above 64c. Ive also seen my CPU go to 99%. What should I do? Also I have a latest driver for gpu.

I doubt your CPU is bottlenecking you considering I have 6700k @4.4ghz and gtx1080 and the cpu goes to about 30% with 144fps without any studdering. Try to keep your task manager on, sort the processes by CPU usage and keep playing. When the CPU hits 80+%, check which apps are using most of it

Same here. 6700k Stock runs smooth as hell, goes up to 80% in some maps, most of the time is in the 30-40%

Never had a single stuttering or lag or spike whatsoever

May I ask what is your vcore at on 4.4 ghz ? also did you touch the cache ratio/voltage?

I don't remember the vcore, ill check it when I get home if I dont forget and I'll send you pm. I did not touch anything else. I didn't spend too much time on getting the clock as high as possible or the voltage as low as possible. I just took whatever was stable and the temps werent too high - got nh-d15 so that wasnt a problem - and I called it a day

I use the MSI gaming app for my gpu leds, MSI afterburner for on screen display, and corsair link to set my fan speed. I don't know if they are the culprit to my high CPU usage.

I don't think they are but check task manager and you will see

Your cpu is supposed to be around 90-100% when playing BF1, most all players are reporting it on reddit/fourms so its not just you (me as well)

Still doesn't fix the fact that your getting frame drops, Try running your CPU to stock speeds and rolling back nvidia Drivers

An i7 6700k should not bottleneck a GTX 1070.

Why not? Try running 3dmark's physics test with a 5960X and it'll bottleneck a GTX 1060.
