Correct on the newegg, but as far as Tiger Direct goes, it depends on the State. My state of NC, I have to pay sales tax through Tiger Direct. From their shopping cart "We only charge tax in FL, IL, NC, TX, GA, SD and ID".

As for pricing, I'll wait and see what the true prices are.

For me (CA), I have tax on newegg while I don't on Tigerdirect.

That is the only reason I purchase from Tigerdirect.

Tax on something like this kills.

AnandTech's review is up, and while some of it is still a WIP, they do have 4K benchmarks! And guess who is on top of that chart?

EDIT: Honestly, I'm quite surprised that this beast is faster than a Titan at 4K in most games, especially since Nvidia pushed the Titan out as a card for high resolution gaming. Unless the 780Ti has all GK110 CUDA cores enabled, it's safe to say the 290X is the king of the mountain for now. I hope this means Nvidia's prices come down, and that they are at least a little scared.

dont be like all the AMD supremacists on youtube/anandtech now.... i would say AMD have taken a nice gouge into Nvidia's high prices and will bring prices down and knock some sense into them, but in no way does this card just totally destroy Nvidia like all the hype said it would.

Agreed. Hopefully it will be $1,000 or less for a good gaming monitor a year from now. One can hope.

The Asian companies make the cheaper 2K monitors for $300 now, I'm sure they'll make 4K ones for $500 or so.
