Best Mini ITX case

ripper101

So I am looking to build a Mini ITX PC and I am looking for a good case that works well with a non-blower GPU, non-modular PSU, and supports a all-in-one liquid cooler for CPU. thanks

Try the Thermaltake Core V1. It has support for a 120mm or 140mm Radiator and you can hide unused cables in the bottom part of the case.

It's what I have already I could probably get a different one. Any recommendations for 750w? Right now I have an XFX TS 750w Gold

If you're honestly interested in getting a shoebox case you shouldn't need anywhere near 750w. You can likely get away with a 500w PSU, unless you're using ancient hardware. In which case thermals will likely be a huge issue.

If you really want to use a very small case (I assume that's why you inquired about shoebox style cases and mITX) cable management is important. ATX PSU's usually limit your GPU size to mini cards.

Why is the NCase so expensive is it cause It's a gofundme item or something

No, it's a very high quality aluminium case made in smaller batches.

You asked for one of the best, good items cost money ;)

The Silverstone SG13, can support 120mm & 140mm AIOs and ATX PSUs.

The NCase M1 is the ultimate, but it's expensive and needs a SFX PSU to get the best out of it.

Fractal Core 500 will support a full ATX power supply, I'd recommend going with the Silverstone SX600-G it's a 600W SFX power supply and fully modular. Here's a link to the forum where I posted the pics of my build so you can get an idea of how everything fits in there.

Fractal Design Define Nano S and Phanteks Evolve ITX are good choices.

Ovbiously my Lian Li PC-Q12 is the best mini ITX case ever :D

You can easily fit a X99 CPU and a 1070 in it...so it's obviously best PC case ever...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Haha the Core 500 is so funny looking because It's like my current case but a lot shorter

How are your GPU and CPU temps? and fan speeds under load? Is it quiet? thanks

Silverstone's Sugo Lineup has some 120mm support, but it will be REALLY tight.

I'm using the Corsair H100i as my CPU cooler. CPU Temps generally sit at 22C at idle and at the end of running the Unigine Heaven Benchmark it sits at about 65C.

Noise wise it's negligible and it's really all up to the cooler and gpu that you get. The case fan itself it's pretty quite at full speed however.

With the fans on the MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G at full speed there is a fair amount of noise, if you have your gaming audio turned down, but if your playing a game fan noise isn't really going to be an issue.

Under normal HTPC application use, there is no noise since the temps don't reach high enough temperatures to kick the fans on.

There is magnetic mesh on the inside on the top and GPU side, no mesh on the rear exhaust or the psu exhaust. there is also an external mesh cover that is slotted in on the bottom for the PSU intake. Overall though it's pretty quite.

I would definitely recommend this case to anyone looking for a small form factor build.

Okay thanks, I am just worried about having a non-blower 1070 in a case with little air flow.

I've not had any issues with airflow and temps. with the intake right next to the video card temps have not been an issue.  You can always look at this build that Linus and Luke built in a SFF case as well.

or the Sequal: Smaller and Better....

I swear on the evga supernova and rmx corsair lines but there's a thread around ranking psu's on a tier 1-7 list you should check out.

the phanteks evolv itx is gorgeous but not having a 3.5 or 5.25 bay is kind of a bummer to me.

the thermaltake core v1 is a very nice cube case.

I would look up hardware canucks on youtube for some pretty in depth reviews on cases.
