I think they finally realise that it is not a good idea to release a cordless EarPod which has no solution to prevent it from falling

Not to mention people will have to pay $159 for that shit.

I think you're failing to realize that at $160 it's actually cheaper than basically all other truly wireless earbuds. And there is definitely a market for truly wireless earbuds.

What I'm trying to say is that it isn't worth paying $160 for something that looks like a cordless EarPod with no falling protection

I'm well aware that $160 for a wireless earbud is not expensive, but for that money I would get a LG HBS 1100 instead

So they decided to abandon an established standard before knowing for sure their replacement for it was ready.

Them saying they're being courageous actually kind of makes sense now. Or it would if Apple customers didn't buy iphones regardless of how much sense they made.

Meanwhile, I would never consider that style of bluetooth headphone (nor would I consider truly wireless earbuds). I prefer something like Jaybird Freedom F5's. Point being, everyone's taste is different and that there definitely is a market for AirPods.

There's a difference between being courageous and stupid.

I have $50 bluetooth earbuds and they work great I never understood the over $100 price point. If you want extreme quality I wouldn't look towards Bluetooth. This is a dumb product category high-end Bluetooth earbuds.

Apple started going down the moment Tim Cook became the CEO instead of Jonathan Ive.

Sorry to revive that post but does any of you guys know any updates to that story ? Because it seems that the Beats X, also with the W1 chip, are also delayed since they should be released around november. Pretty unfortunate since I really had some hopes in that W1 chip but I guess I have to continue searching for some nice bluetooth earpods...

Update Plans: Mini ITX this bitch
