the windows taskbar wont go away

i recently got this problem on my laptop where the taskbar wont go behind any games or videos in fullscreen and shows infront of them, and now it seems to have come to my main PC aswell. i have tried a lot of things in the settings but nothing seems to have worked. i dont want it to auto hide because i like to have it shown but i cant watch videos or play games when the taskbar is taking up space where the subtitles to anime or something else shoule be, so if you know a fix please help 

 

OS is the latest version of windows 10 64 bit

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

sorry il edit, 64 bit windows 10, latest version on both devices

Right-click the taskbar and uncheck the lock taskbar option

Huh, that's weird. I had the same problem a few days ago and that was it. I'll fool around with my setup and see if I can recreate it.

i used to have that installed before my SSD broke, but sure il go reinstall it
