Well if you want something that's portable then a laptop is a no brainer.

Everything this guy said except the part, "MacBook". Might as well get a Chromebook as it does the same in this scenario (for 10X less money).

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Unless you want something more than a browser. How about a rdp or ssh client?

How about a ide?

How about playing video?

How about copying files from drives.

Chromebooks aren't that usefull for many people.

Depends how much power you need and does it need to be portable. I own both so I don't need to compromise.
Laptop will never replace my desktop and desktop will never replace my laptop.

Depends on what your doing. I need to have a computer than can injest video and connect to wired networks on the go, and a desktop would be horrible for that and a chromebook just can't do it.

what kind of budget are we working with?

PC= Personal Computer.

Guess what, a laptop is a personal computer. The right term would be Desktop PC or desktop computer.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.
