How to put all emails from one sender under one label in Gmail

TobiasMB
Go to solution Solved by minibois,

Click on the little triangle next to the search button, add to the 'From' textbox "noreply@steampowered.com" (for the Steam example, all Steam emails come from this in my experience. maybe not support though) press 'Create filter with this search" button and here you go to the filter settings. What I recommend you do tick is:

"Skip the inbox (Archive it)" (Otherwise it will still be on your main inbox), use the 'Apply label' function and make a label for Steam (or whatever else. You can play around with this too, have for example a Corsair, Massdrop, etc. label nested under a 'Newsletter' label) and press 'Never send it to spam".  Be sure to tick the 'Also apply filter to matching conversations.' box too, this makes it so all emails in your inbox that fall under this setting will be moved to the label.

I was wondering if it is possible to make it so that all emails from one sender(ex. Steam) gets automatically put under one label in Gmail. So if I make a purchase on Steam all the emails I get from steam about my purchase and all other emails from steam, gets put instantly in under one label.

Thank you in advance.

Just go into settings and create a new filter, add the steam address from and click next, tell it to put into label "steam"

Made a visual guide for you.

First, create a new label

create label.PNG

Then name it

name label.PNG

Then go into settings - top right corner (looks like a cog wheel)

then choose "filters and blocked addresses" in the tabs

settings-filters.PNG

Then choose "create new filter" About mid way down the page on the right hand of the screen like below.

create new filter.PNG

Choose the options for the filter like below, then click the "create a filter wth this search"

new filter.PNG

And last, tell it to put mail with those filters into a label... choose the label you want to apply.

apply label.PNG
