nope

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

its really easy to build an emp generator, but if you want it to damage any kind of electronic device it takes a MASSIVE amount of power. More than any hobbyist will likely be able to use.

an emp isnt something that can magically temporarily disable electronics. They don't work like they do in movies. Its almost always 100% fiction.

Get in get out of what? EMP doesn't work that way and, what's worse, there is no directional EMP. So you can't target just one device. It's all the devices in the effect radius or none of them basically (if you ignore EMP shielding and stuff)

I actually went and built one with and built one with a few large capacitors and in all honesty it was rather disappointing. It could turn off a calculator if I put the coil directly on top of it.

I salvaged the charging circuitry from a disposable film camera and replaced the capacitor with two 200 volt 680uF capacitors wired in parallel for a shock of about 27 joules. It's seriously powerful and I don't honestly recommend that anyone replace the capacitors like I did because the shock from it is more than powerful enough to kill someone.

I scrapped the project a while ago. It did work it just wasn't really all that effective.

Also if I am remembering the principles of electromagnetism correctly it would also probably work better at a lower voltage. The power of the capacitors I was using was nearly enough to melt the solder I used to hold them together.

You would want high impedance and extremely high capacitance. Actually, an EMP generator benefits from "dirty" output: The goal is to create fluctuations in target devices, not all of which will be susceptible to the same frequencies. 

Consequently, had you done exactly what you did, except used it to drive a flux compression generator instead of an antenna (we are on the WAYYYY far outer reaches of science and even further beyond legality at this point) you would probably have been able to achieve an output somewhere in the MW range. If you had used your capacitor bank to light off an explosively pumped flux compression generator, you could be in the TW range (which can take out a cell phone at 1 mile).
