Zenbook 3 is a Macbook Clone

I was just looking at the Zenbook 3 and noticed it is a literal clone of the Macbook, like come on Asus give us some originality. The Zenbook just has better CPU specs and that's about it. Both only have two ports, USB-C and an Audio Jack.

That's the OEM for the speakers. I'm not sure why they advertise it so much, the speakers suck.

Because it's a known brand that is associated with higher end audio (specifically in cars) -- it used to be much better across the board.

I'm not saying they aren't great, but I don't exactly like it when companies blatantly rip off another company's design. Everyone gives crap to Thermaltake about it.

Almost all notebook and sometimes tablet/phone speakers that are branded with high-end names are just licensing deals. Most of the time, the speakers are just stamped but not made or designed by the audio OEM

It's not that difficult to come up with different design. The original Zenbook looks a lot different but has identical specs.

I have the original Zenbook with a Core M and it only gets to 55C on max loads. That is a 4.5W chip that is passively cooled, I can only imagine the i7.

that i7 is 15w, so many laptops today cannot even cool a ULV chip like the i7 in that laptop, so this is just gonna be fun to watch.

Dave didn't give temp information, but by his charts it looks like it aggressively throttles at 70C. Why the fuck would you bother with the u series chips if you effectively make it an m-series?

I would be surprised if it didn't throttle hard, this is yet another craptop, that should have been thrown in the trash when it was just a model of the real product. How can those engineers sleep at night, knowing they make shitty things for a living.
