No, the cpu is AM3 and the motherboard is AM3+

i7-9980x 4.20mhz - 19.8 terraflops of ram - 512mb GENERIC VIDEO_CARD - 20w PSU with hyperthreading.

It should be fine. Also note the CPU has already been sold and the motherboard isn't that cheap since it is used.

They are compatible if I recall correctly. AM3 CPU will fit in AM3+ socket, but AM3+ CPU will not fit in AM3 socket.

Yeah AMD held on to backwards compatibility.
