Whatever I have my music on. Or whatever it defaults to... iTunes I guess.

I was happy with iTunes. I had to convert my flac files but I didn't mind, I didn't feel iTunes was letting me down in any big way.

I no longer associate with any iOS devices and iTunes seems to keep getting worse and worse so I Finally made the jump to foobar which is great to have all of my flac files supported nativley.

 

I would first think if you are interested in streaming or playing your local files.. maybe both?

And then look for features or compatability that you need/want.

 

Spotify would be a great option if you want to stream your music but there are many other great options..

 

For playing local files, I would just go for something with a wide range of codec support and look for features you particularly want (like for example automatic media file scanning). Most players are descent its really down to the features you want.

Also keep in mind, foobar is great for being whatever you want so it may be something to look at. however if you just want to play music and not worry about having to set the player up then you might want to look elsewhere.

I have Winamp on both computers, damn fine music player in my opinion

Winamp mostly and then VLC.

 

all my playlist in winamp was lost 2 days ago which i don't know why. Turn on pc , and then no playlist found. Had to re-create them :x

i use VLC sometime because it works better with my music on my server!

VLC for what I want to listen to
iTunes when I just want something to play.
