Battlefield 3 -

It was a hot summer evening, the air was dry yet humid. i had my fan on and was playing some good old Battlefield 3 to kill sometime. I was in the zone, near top the leader board of a conquest match i joined late. Drove up to a base and saw a enemy chopper all the way near another flag capping it, was a good while away. pulled out my RPG while noticing it was my very last rocket, i held my breath and took the shot far right of the chopper leading the target like a sniper would as they track their kill. It was in the air for a good 3-4 seconds all the while i was watching and thinking I'm gonna miss, I'm gonna miss, Then..Booom. Double kill, best moment and shot in my history of playing Battlefield 3, you had to be there. wish i recorded it.  i was kicked for hacking 10 seconds later.

Battlefield 2 - Beta - Rush - Port Valdez (The snowy map)

I was already behind the construction building, the large three or four story unfinished building, and my friends were using me as a spawn point trying to blow the crate in the open area. I was almost out of ammo, and a friend mentioned there was a lot of people in the house adjacent from the construction building by the hills edge that was putting fire on most of the open field. As I was in a good position to attack it, I'd try my luck.

A short story made longer...the building had several people in it and I was clearing them out by unloading a weapon, picking up their weapons, pushing forward, unload a weapon, get a kill, pick up their weapon and repeat. Granted I didn't have much resistance clearing the building cause I'm guessing they were camping the building thinking the numbers kept them safe as they were all pointed shooting out. I cleared to the attic, and now people were trying to over take their house back and I was defending it pretty good using their own weapons on the freshly spawned in people. I was pushed back up to the attic so I tossed down some C4 as they were lobbing grenades up. Jumping from the attic I press the detonate and fall to my death.

In roughly a minute I went from a few kills to +20 in roughly a minute, and my friends and I were laughing so hard, tears were coming out because of all the different types of weapons they seen on the top left of their screens I was killing with them with... then when the building drops and the mass of names flash dying from the collapse, then one lonely little LazlowRave died. Not killed, just died.

I would try to recreate the results using this same method of pickup up my dead enemies weapons, but never again would that first time be so hilarious.

I don't know if anyone has said this one yet but, Mafia 2's ending was pretty great.

I remember the beginning of the first Unreal game, where you come out of the cave and see the waterfall and everything.  Maybe not so impressive now, but back then, to see graphics that good on a PC was awesome.

  1. Well here is something that happened while I was playing Bioshock 2. I found a splicer couple dancing together in a room, I tired to get closer to investigate but then they attacked me and I fought back and killed one, the other spicier abandoned combat and mourned the other one. Felt too bad for him, so I let him be even though he attacked me.
  2. In Pokemon ORAS, the ending credits revisits the various points of your journey and shows you some of the Pokemon that were with you at these points, thought that was neat as it showed you how your Pokemon changed and evolved throughout your journey.
  3. The final battle and dialogue with your rival in ORAS was really neat.
  4. Bioshock's 1 and 2 ending was awesome.

I think my favorite memory was beating Mike Tyson for the first time in PunchOut!

In college, I was at a get together at a friends house who had an NES (mid 2000s). I decided I was just going to play Tyson a few times to see how I'd do. I had never beaten Tyson before, but I played the game on and off for several years before that night. I usually had problems with Mr Sandman and Super Macho Man, but I had made it to Tyson before quite a few times. I just could never beat him.

I looked up the code and just kept playing him over and over. I was getting to a point where I could make it far into the fight. I probably played him 40-50 times in a row. At some point, a few people had sat down to watch and were putting beer up to my mouth in between rounds and someone got out a towel like they were my ringside crew.

When I beat him, the room exploded. It was actually pretty awesome and a really fun night.

Hmm.. Several.

Ace Combat 5: We were over this city in Ocea.  It was a simple fly by mission/air show type thing while the vice president gave a speech.  We were done with said fly by and we were supposed to fly back to base.  All of a sudden, dozens of enemy squadrons appear on radar, and we have to fight a slowly losing battle.  Suddenly, our fellow pilot was shot down.  You actually watch his plane crash into the stadium and everything.  The resulting... rage... from the characters, turned the battle around and the accompanying soundtrack for both moments was just awesome.

Okami.  The fight against both Orochi and Yami were freaking awesome.  Some of the best boss battles ever.  To have the music in the background, the sound effects, just, everything about them.

Call of Duty 4.  We are the Marines, best fighting force on the planet.  We are pulling out of the city when that nuke went off.  That was one of the best scenes in any first person shooter.

Far Cry 4.  I absolutely loved the opening.  The bus getting shot up.  We are pulled off.  Pagan Min stabbing the colonel for not stopping the bus but shooting the bus.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

If your a gamer, you have not several stories, but MANY! My Ace Combat story was playing on Xbox 360 Assault Horizon and flying into my first dog-fight of many aircraft. Seeing all the left smoke plumes of missiles and such. Amazing.

But my ultimate Ace Combat story was fighting Stonehenge in Shattered Skies. That was the most epic battle I remember for Ace Combat.

The entirety of Half Life 2. Running around the ruins of City 17 trying to escort my squad to safety, mowing down Combine with my SMG and shotgun, cowering behind rubble whilst trying to get a clear shot at a Strider, then hearing footsteps behind me and spinning around to connect my crowbar with their skull... that game is fucking incredible.

My most memorable experience in a video game happened when I was playing 007 Agent Under Fire on the PS2 with my brother. We set one of the battle modifiers to 'full walking speed' or something like that so you move really fast. This one time, I was coming down some stairs and I saw my brother's character fly past in less than half a second and we both stopped playing, laughing so hard for an hour.

I have no signature. There is nothing to see here. Move along.
