MY FIRST GAMING PC BUILD

he guy this is the link to my first pc gaming build that I will be doing in the future...http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Zs4gBP... I already have the case, CPU cooler, Power Supply, and Motherboard that's on the list...I not set on the GPU's as I am going back and forth with eather SLI 1070's or single GTX 1080 (Both Gigabyte XTREAM)..I am also am looking at the ACER XR351CK and the BENQ XR3501 please any recommendations or changes are welcome... Thanks Guys and LEVEL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that although SLI 1070s might perform better, the 1080 will always work, with no SLI scaling issues.

 

However, I'd still go with dual 1070s. Just be careful, because those are triple-slot 1070s and your mobo appears to just have a 3-slot gap between the first and second slot. Your cards might find it a bit tought to breathe... I would probably get Asus' 1070 STRIX cards instead. Another bonus is that the STRIX cards are all black with RGB, so they will match any color scheme.

I would say a single 1080. I'm not a fan of sli and I never will be. Scaling is so bad in some games that the performance difference is un-noticed. There's titan pascal sli's on youtube where they only get 4 more FPS difference when using titan sli vs a nommal titan. another £1000 card for 4fps? No.

 

A single card will always be better. I guarantee a single 1080 will run everything on 1440p without a problem. Save money and get the same performance without having to worry about scaling issues and badly optimised games
