Hi.

I believe that I have anger management issues, but I am not sure how to take control of it.

I want to take control of it because it is leading me to do things that I am regretting deeply.

Just points to control anger or even past experiences would be great to help me.

Thanks a lot guys, Alpha.

You should see a therapist or counselor - especially one that specializes in anger management. Mental health is a part of your entire well being and overall health (including your physical health). If you got sick, you would just go to the Doctor, who is the expert. Well in this case, a therapist or counselor (or psychologist, etc) is the expert. They'll be able to help you find the root cause of your anger, and work on that.

Taking a basic Anger Management course will help, but those courses mainly surround dealing with the problems, not the source. Dealing with the source - the root - will take time and can sometimes require professional help. If you have private medical insurance, it may well cover seeing a therapist - many do now. If you don't have insurance, or it doesn't cover that, seek out some non-profit organizations - you should be able to find some that will give you the therapy sessions for free, if you make under a certain amount of money.

I used to have those issues when I was a youngster, but then I realised that my actions do have consequences and that the world is in no way obliged to accommodate me and my problems.

So I started to cool down, hold myself back and use creative outlets to vent.

I'm no ray of sunshine, but I'm miles away from where I started.

You need an Anger Control course. They are everywhere because the courts send them there.

Anger is a secondary emotion, I think. Thats what I hear others say.

I think its more to do with Ego, which everything boils down to that.

There might be a "Anger Anonymous" group, there are over 500 of those 12 step courses.

Nicotine, Debtors, Over Eaters, Alcohol, Narcotics, Cocaine, Bulimia, Anorexia, Binge, Overworking, Over-working out, plus 100's more.

What it boils down to is whatever "it" is that is the problem, its boils down to the way you think, which needs to change.

Some go to church, some go to 12 step anonymous meetings, others use mentors, addictions counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist, GP doctor, other group therapies like S.M.A.R.T. cognitive meetings, other cognitive groups/meetings, self help meetings/groups etc etc etc the list goes on. Its human nature addictions. There is also the state/provincial run through health department courses aimed at defendants/convictee's through the courts for addictions and anger issues. Those tend to be more a university PHD view on things, rather then a person who has been through the issue(s). Some "recovered" people want to save the world, so they get into counselling and been through issue(s). Not so common with PHD people, or university people. More money, takes longer to graduate.

Go see your doctor, he should point you in the right direction. I am not a doctor, nor anything I mentioned in this post.

It depends what you get angry over, but if it is over other people, try to relate and have empathy for them.  Try to picture yourself in the scenario they are in and that immediatly gives you some time to think about why exactly you're angry and why it wouldn't help.

Yup. It's pretty easy to get pissed at people when you can't empathize  with them. I can hav  this problem, especially with stupid people.

If it's Csgo just open your console and type "voice_enable 0"

I used to have some serious anger issues but I outgrew them a while back. Find a creative outlet for all that pent up rage. I personally developed a deep passion for music and started playing really extreme metal. Find a sport or hobby and use your anger to drive you forward in life. Trust me, you'll be much happier in your everyday and much better off in the end.
