Linus, you always talk about hardware, but never about software, I know that's not exactly what's your channel about.

But I have a single suggestion

if you can please make a video on the software you would use to keep your hardware up to date and the kind that you would use to run checks on your hardware, to see if anythings wrong.

Thanks^_^

What OS.

Linux has package managers that do this

Mac os x has their own app store and software update.

Windows has windows update and most software will update its self.

You don't need a program to update all your software.

If you need a video to teach you how to update your software... I don't know what is wrong with you

ok :| maybe not update, but software that checks all your hardware if it's working properly, ok guys I'm new at this, go easy on me, plz

First of all, this should have actually been posted in the programs and apps subforum, as this sub forum is meant for suggestions for features on the forum.

Anyways, there are some programs that check on the 'health' of your devices, mainly crystalmark that benchmarks and checks the health of storage devices (HDD's. SSD's, flash drives, etc.). There is no such program for your GPU, CPU, etc. though.

How did this happen?

OP posted this thread in forum features and suggestions, which doesn't count up posts (just like Off topic) and it got moved to this sub forum later.

There are some driver updater software which are bloody expensive for the purpose. I
'd rather do it manually or rely on Windows update. As for keeping hardware checked. You do that daily while using. Everytime its slower than usually, keeps some noise etc. you start wondering if there could be anything. Fact is that there's multiple software mean for troubleshooting. But besides that you need personal experience on how to read results you are getting.

General troubleshooting guide good be in order. Jayz2Cents did one not so long ago.
