GTX 1080 and older MB and CPU.

If you are like me and bought GTX 1080 into older PC, then you maby noticed some serious peformace loss, i have seen heaven benchmark scores 3000+ and i only get 2500~ you will lose at least 20% peformance and firestrike scores +24000 and i get near 22000. In "cash" for me i lost 155 EUR :) . This is not help request this post is more like infomation for others. And sorry for crapy english :)

It's completely blown out of proportion. Let's cut it short to the part that matters: Which CPU? I have a 3770k at 4.6GHz and I have somwhere between a severe bottleneck in BF4 to fine performance in Overwatch and other less CPU bound titles. Some people would say it was a bad choice to get a 1080 with a 3770k but i am at 1080p right now and looking forward to and upgrade so it was well worth it for me. What is your situation. I don'T care about firestrike or cinebecnh. The question is a lot easier: Which CPU?

I just saw: FX8300 Is that correct? If so I would forget a bout it and buy a whole new platform before throwing my money at 600-700 USD GPU.

I did not read enough  before I posted but in short people could have told you that before If you had asked.

Well this Information isn't that surprising. Almost everyone on this forum could tell you that a fx 8300 and PCI-E 2.0 will bottleneck the 1080.

I did know that before buying my GTX 1080 my last GPU was R9 270X and my new one gives me 3x more peformance i am happy with it. I am now waiting for AMD Zen to come out and then maby buy Zen if price is right if not then Intel i7-6900k or some s**t who knows :)
